Healthy Goddess - That's YOU!

Play Video

Welcome!

Being a woman of worth means loving where you are right now. The process of walking through this in depth workshop is a loving journey of self-discovery and self-care. We are going to talk about all the things that support your Highest Self and one of those is being at optimal health in this human body.

  • Have you tried to lose weight again, and again, and again?
  • Have you gone on a diet with some success just to break it and end up heavier than before you started?
  • Are you frustrated, angry, self-shaming and overwhelmed from trying?

You are not alone.

But what if, through the process of self acceptance you discover that it is not about the weight or size of your body at all? Have you ever seen a painting from the 1400s? The standard of “beauty” was very different.

No one gets to tell you what equals beauty for you. If you are curvy and super healthy like me, love it. Embrace it. If you want to get healthier and stronger and that means thinner, then embrace that too! The good news is that any negativity around this area of life can be change by learning how to embrace your food, your body, your habits and your life with a new attitude and the right tools.

The key to feeling good about yourself and having fun while you lose weight is to address your beliefs and change your energy. This is the only thing that worked for me.

After using 3 simple steps to Freedom and Empowerment around your body image, weight, food and your life in general, you will move from pain and suffering with dieting to a healthy lifestyle where you love yourself!

1. Examine Existing Beliefs

2. Implement new behaviors and thoughts

3. Transform your energy and your life

Your weight is NOT about your weight.

If it was, you would handle it and be done. So what is it about and how can I fix it? And frankly, what’s going to be different this time? This time, with these steps, you are going to change yourself from the inside out. This time, you are going to put in place a plan to support all aspects of your life. This time, you are going to get in touch with the core issues that drive you and shift, transmute or dissolve them. This time you are going to set yourself free!

We will address your physical, spiritual, mental and energetic bodies. You will be given a video for all but one module (11). Please watch that then listen to the audio and read the PDF. The reason I ask you do all three is that the video is an overview, the audio has most of the material and the PDF is very detailed and I have added some additional information post production. I don’t want you to miss a thing!

Assignments

At the end of the written material, you will have the opportunity to do an ASSIGNMENT designed to experientially support your success. Studies show that a combination of didactic and experiential learning is very powerful in long term retention and change. This is important. combined, they will provide a format for a lasting, empowered successful relationship with food and your “SELF”.  It is not only about learning new information, but implementing and integrating what you discover here and from within your own thought processes and heart..

Tapping

At the end of many of the modules you will be given a tapping video. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or tapping, is a very easy and efficient way of clearing your energy meridians of old negative energy connected to negative beliefs or experiences. For an in depth explanation, you will be provided a master TAPPING VIDEO before you begin the Modules. Please watch and really try it. It may seem odd at first but the results speak for themselves.. It is a big part of clearing your energetic body of old negativity and beliefs.

I would recommend that you not blast through this but give yourself time to absorb and integrate. Maybe one module per week.  But it’s your call, your experience and I support you in using your intuition now and always!

Your relationship with your body and your food

Let’s talk about food and your body. A disempowered relationship with yourself in these areas can include: any food, meal or food behavior that is not in alignment with your highest good and your physical, mental and spiritual goals. Your highest good, in this case is whatever it takes to function at optimal physical shape, energy, spiritual oneness and mental clarity. If you think you are the only one who has “issues,” I am here to say that you are NOT alone.

In this society of glitz, glamour and surface “currency” (i.e., looks, cars, hair, who you know, etc.), there is an epidemic of beautiful souls who have been fed a lie. We are told in a myriad of blatant, as well as subtle ways, that we are not enough for who we are; that we have to ‘look the part’ and be polished and perfect. NOT. Human beings are not machines or mannequins. Not to be too “woo woo” here, but we are feeling, breathing, energetic beings of light and love.

Emotional and Behavioral Food Conflicts or Mini Battles

I want to share with you just a few variations of food behaviors I consider out of alignment with an empowered life. Put an honest check next to, or write down, the ones that apply to you. Only you will see this.

  • Hanging on to extra weight (i.e., that last 5+ pounds so that I get to be right about not deserving to be happy or healthy or free).
  • Unrealistic weight goals (i.e., let’s say you are tall and the healthy range for your height may be 145-160 and you think you need to be a double zero at 115) and your body does not naturally get there in a healthy way
  • Overeating
  • Mild or infrequent binge eating
  • Grazing such that one gains or maintains excess weight (always “taking the edge off”)
  • Eating additional food, even when there is no physical hunger (habit)
  • Emotional eating (happy, sad, angry, joyful, tired, bored, lost)
  • Eating processed food, empty calories, allergic foods (any food that triggers the “need” for more), foods not in alignment with your goals.
  • Only eating a couple of foods out of fear (no variety)
  • Night eating (getting up out of bed to eat)
  • Choosing an imbalanced amount or type of food based on the “high” it creates (sugar, salt, fried) or the anesthetic quality where it numbs the feelings
  • Fasting (non-medically) or not eating all day then losing control
  • Preferring to eat in private
  • Hiding the “evidence”

I am sure there are more variations but you get the idea.

Before we begin the more interactive part of the workshop, I want to encourage you to share this workshop with a friend. Someone with whom you can work and be accountable to in your journey. It is excellent if you have someone to bounce things off of and process things with. They will be on their own journey and you can support each other in the process.  If that doesn’t work for you or appeal to you, that’s completely fine. You will receive value regardless. Having a buddy can make it more fun and also helps keep you focused.

Please buy or make a Success Journal to use during this process. It can be a plain notebook or a work of art! One where you take pen to paper the old fashioned way. There is a flow of consciousness that comes more deeply from the act of channeling your own thoughts through your heart center to your hand written account. Decorate it and bless it. Your buddy can either enroll and embark on their own road to transformation, or you can just share the parts you want to share.

When you have a moment, answer the following questions on paper, or in your journal to begin to get insights into what thoughts are driving you and your life.

  1. As you look at what you have checked off or written down, how do you feel?

  2. Are you judging yourself?

  3. Were you already aware of how your relationship to food has a hold on you?

The most important part is taking an honest look. This takes courage so congratulations on telling the truth to yourself. That is the starting point. Throughout this workshop, you will be encouraged to put down the shame, blame and judgments of yourself and others around food – to put the whip down so that you can begin to heal.

It is critical to know that you cannot fix the (any) problem at the level of the problem. You must rise above the level of the problem to the level of the spiritual in order to heal. The most important parts of this workshop have to do with the spiritual healing. That is the foundation. But we live in a practical world, so we will also address the “doing-ness” of setting yourself up to win as well as the “being-ness” regarding this emotionally charged topic.

Again, do this at your own pace but do not give up. Do not give in. You are a Woman of Worth.  Your pace is completely up to you. “Just don’t leave before the miracle happens.”  I will be asking you to work by really self-reflecting in a curious way. The more you do the assignments, the more deeply the learning will go in and be utilized by your subconscious as well… but NO PRESSURE! The only way to do this wrong is to not do it.

Here is a post from one of my fave humans that sums up what may come up in this process so be gentle, loving and kind to yourself:

Tapping

In order to change our beliefs and our subconscious thoughts about food we can use an ancient process called tapping. I will go into depth here as it is a tool so powerful that by changing our verbiage and focus it can be used on all aspects of your life. The results are remarkable and because it can be used throughout this process in conjunction with all of the Modules, I have moved this section to the beginning. I will explain what it is and how to do it. You will be prompted on several modules to tap and you will be given a short tapping video for that section. As you become more comfortable with the technique, you will be able to use your own current emotional state to direct the words you choose. This first video will be longer as there is an explanation included.

What is the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or Tapping? This process of tapping on various points on your body that sends a tiny electromagnetic pulse that down-regulates the limbic system and lets the brain and nervous system know “it’s okay.” The Tapping releases the stressful negative emotions associated with painful memories and relegates these to a more neutral part of the brain.

It works on the subconscious and conscious levels but more importantly, on the energetic level.

Marchella Friel says, “Tapping is a gentle, powerful self-help tool that reduces the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger stress. Tapping combines coaching techniques with acupressure in the form of light fingertip tapping on acupuncture points. The tapping acts as a circuit breaker on the electromagnetic signal of the stress and diffuses its emotional trigger. Stress and trauma are stored in our limbic system, one of the oldest parts of our brain. Our limbic system developed pre-verbally, which is why years of talk therapy often do not reach the core energetics of our stress.”

You can refer back to the Tapping Video provided anytime. Click on the link now for a tapping demonstration. You can use the words I use or your own as you get more comfortable with the process.

Tapping Process

The tapping process is designed to balance meridians in your body by:

  1. Releasing negative thoughts and feelings

  2. Replacing them with positive thoughts and feelings

Let’s get started. When TAPPING, you will usually use one or both hands, using the index and middle finger on each hand. You will GENTLY tap in 10 (ten) locations on your face and body for a few seconds in each location while making specific statements using your voice. First determine the level of intensity of the subject on which you are tapping from a scale of 0 to 10. The ten locations are (note that you can begin tapping with the karate chop part of the hand moving to the head first or in the following order):

You will find the “sore spot” described below first.

  1. Karate chop point (the side of the hand)
  2. One hand on the top of the head
  3. Between the eyebrows
  4. Side of your eye(s)
  5. Under your eye(s)
  6. Under your nose
  7. On your chin
  8. The inside edge of the clavicle (middle part)
  9. Liver point (under the breast)
  10. Thymus (Under the arm just around the ribcage in back)

Before you begin, you will rub the “sore spot” located three inches the inside corner of the collarbone and three inches down. Rub that area until you find the sore spot. You will then tap the problem and the affirmation three times. You can also begin the sequence by taping the wrists with your palms facing each other, or on karate chop point – Deep breath – Before you begin, determine the level of intensity of your “Subjective Unit of Distress”, or SUD. In other words, on a scale of 1 to 10, how intense is the problem?  Once you begin tapping, keep tapping until you feel clear, or a zero on a scale of 1 to 10. One to four rounds should be sufficient.

Now to begin tapping: Bring to mind the feeling around food, body, food preparation, past beliefs about food and your body, or whatever you feel needs shifting. Close your eyes and determine on a scale of 0 -10, what is the level of intensity of that feeling? Find the spot just under the clavicle bone on your chest and rub that area saying,

“Even though I have not always honored myself, my goals, my body and my highest good with my food choices and behaviors, I DEEPLY love and accept myself.” Repeat this several times. Then move on to:

1. Tap on the karate chop point of the hand (side of outside area)

Even though I have not always honored myself, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

2. Tap (one hand) the top of your head and say:

“Even though I have abused my body- temple through diets, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

3. Tap between the brows and say:

“Even though I have eaten poorly in the past, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

4. Tap at each side of your eyes and say:

“Even though I have not honored my body with nourishing food, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

5. Tap underneath each eye and say:

“Even though I have criticized myself harshly, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

6. Tap under your nose and say:

Even though I have been negative about my body, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

7. Tap on your chin and say:

“Even though I have failed at supporting my body, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

8. Tap just below your clavicle (each side) and say:

“Even though I have given up too many times, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”

Take a deep cleansing breath. Check in and see how the intensity is now. Do you still have stored energy on the statements or around the topic? If so, what number is it 0 to 10? If it is anything other than a zero, go through the process again and again if necessary. Be committed to your process and letting the energy around it go.

Notice how you feel. You may feel relaxed, even a little tired. Drink some water and rest. You have done excellent work!

A VIDEO is provided here to help you integrate tapping into your experience in a fun, loving and light way. You may or may not have an emotional release but know that it is working at a very deep level and there is no right way to do this. No perfection, just love and acceptance.

Do this daily and most certainly after each section you complete. It only takes a few minutes to make a big difference! You SO got this. 😀

Thank You
